At the First National Confer-
ence at Asilomar in
1957, the keynote
speaker, Charles Eames,
told the con-
ferees that risk-taking is the indisput-
able right of the young. By that crite-
rion, Aileen Webb is very, very young.
She has a full lifetime of taking risks -
acting on her beliefs with stamina and
imagination,
keeping
faith
with
her
commitments,
moving
ahead
rather
than being static in the name of
caution.
